Research: Social Skills TrainingThursday, 26 September 2013

Please read below about research that parents can participate in –

“STAK” is a personalised learning system which has been designed to support carers teaching social skills to children with autism.  This learning system has been built to provide easy access to resources which will help carers to teach social skills to this group of children.

The idea behind STAK is simple.  Carers input some basic information into the application about their own level of experience and then create profiles for the children they are teaching i.e. learning style, language and comprehension abilities and knowledge of social skills.  This information is then used by the system to tailor supports and resources for Carers which they can access through the Activity Centre on the site.

For further details on this research project please contact at doyleth@tcd.ie or www.stakmate.com
