Alexandra Kirby is a postgraduate student in education at the Atlantic Technological University. As part of her dissertation, she is conducting research which focuses on the experiences of children with Autism in Home Economics (or related subjects) within the school setting, and how practical subjects such as Home Economics can support skills such as cooking, personal care, and household management.
Alexandra has developed a short questionnaire aimed at parents/guardians of children with Autism who have engaged with Home Economics or similar subjects in school. The purpose of this research is to better understand their experiences and to inform more inclusive teaching practices.
If you are interested in participating in this research you will be invited to complete a short questionnaire aimed at parents/guardians of children with autism who have engaged with Home Economics or similar subjects in school.
