Exploring perceived social support and its impact on parents/caregivers’ resilience with a child/young person with Autism.

Duygu Arican is a masters student studying MSc. in Education, Child and Youth at University College of Dublin (UCD) and is conducting research to explore perceived social support and its impact on parents/caregivers’ resilience with a child/young person with Autism.
Duygu is looking for participants who are parents/caregivers of a child/ young person who have been diagnosed with Autism and received this diagnosis at least 6 months ago.
Duygu will investigate the extent to which parents’ perceived social support systems are associated with their resilience when raising an Autistic child/young person. This study is designed to determine factors that may enhance the well-being of parents/carers and provide insights into that contribute to parents/carers resilience when parenting a child / young person with Autism.
