T-Res Project

Please read the below information regarding research that you may wish to participate in:

Dr. Sinéad Smyth from DCU’s School of Psychology is conducting the T-Res project which is funded by the Health Research Board Ireland and Irish Research Council.

The aim of the project is to highlight and understand the unique challenges faced by children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families, as a result of Covid-19 restrictions.

This is part 2 of a 3-part survey. The first part was circulated last July, but people are welcome to take part now even if they did not complete part 1.

Using the Data from Phase 1 the team involved developed an online resource toolkit which is freely available for parents, children, therapists and educators alike, to further support individuals in the immediate and long term future.

The researchers are now calling on parents of children with Autism to participate in the second phase of this project, which will help to track the longer term impacts of ongoing COVID-19 related restrictions, as well as changes in support needs. Based on the findings of this survey the researchers plan to continue developing shared transition resources to be utilised by families and educators to support children and young people.

If you wish to participate in the study you can access the survey here.

The deadline to complete this survey is February 25th 2021.
