Entitlements and State Supports
There are a number of entitlements and State services that Autistic people and their carers may be eligible to apply for. Please see what is available from the various Government Departments below.
The below lists are not exhaustive and may change from time to time. They are for information purposes only and the final decision on granting any of the below mentioned rests with the relevant authority.
HSE
The Health Service Executive provides health and social services to eligible people living in Ireland.
Department of Social Protection
The Department of Social Protection provides a number of income supports and other services which may of assistance to Autistic people and their carers.
Revenue
There are a number of tax refunds, credits, and reliefs that Autistic people and their carers may be able to apply for.
Department of Education
The Department of Education offers a number of supports and accommodations to students.
Tusla
Tusla's Educational Support Service (TESS) may be of assistance to Autistic students and their families.
Your Local Authority
The Housing Adaptation Grant for Older People and People with a Disability is available from your local authority, and may be of interest to those wishing to adapt their home.
