World Autism Awareness Day takes place every year on the 2nd of April and is a designated United Nations Day of Observance. 2026 marks the 19th year of World Autism Awareness Day.
Cost of Disability Public Consultation
The Minister for Social Protection Dara Calleary has launched a public consultation on the Cost of Disability. The Programme for Government commits to introducing a permanent Annual Cost of Disability Support Payment. The consultation invites submissions on the approach to this payment.
