Please read the below information regarding research that you may wish to participate in:

Yanlin Liu is a PhD student at the University of Galway, working under the supervision of Dr. Hazel Killeen and Professor Agnes Shiel. They are conducting a research study titled “Knowledge, Attitudes, and Expectations of the ‘F-Words for Child Development’ in Children’s Disability Services in Ireland: A Family Perspective.”

The study aims to explore what families know about the ‘F-Words for Child Development’ This approach focuses on six key areas: Fun, Fitness, Function, Family, Friends, and Future. It aims to help families, children with disabilities, and the professionals who support them make the most out of daily life, both now and in the future.

The study is interested in hearing about experiences with family centre practice, especially for the ‘F-Words for Child Development’. The researchers want to learn more about what you know about the ‘F-Words for Child Development’ and whether or not you like them! If you don’t know much about them, the researchers will tell you more about them and you can let them know your opinions on them, and whether or not you would like to see them used in your health service. They would also like to hear if you would be interested in more information and training on the F-Words.

The researchers are inviting families who are a parent of a child with a disability aged 0-18 in Ireland to complete an online questionnaire (approx. 12–15 minutes). Participation is completely voluntary and anonymous. You can find more information about the study in the information letter here.

If you are happy to take part in the study, please to follow the link https://nuigalway.questionpro.eu/t/AB3uxmIZB3wEHC  This will bring you to an online consent form followed by an online questionnaire. You will not be identifiable in any way from your questionnaire.
