Experiences of Wellbeing and Stress in Parents – Autistic and ADHD Voices
Please read below information regarding research that you may wish to participate in:
Cara Lefroy is a mature psychology student and is conducting academic research investigating well-being, stress and support needs in Autistic and ADHD families. The study aims to inform ways in which future supports can be tailored to meet the needs of families. Cara is conducting this study as part of the requirements of her Psychology Degree at the Department of Psychology, Dublin Business School, Ireland. This research is supervised by Dr Alison Stapleton. This research has been ethically approved by the Dublin Business School Human Research Ethics Committee.
You are invited to take part in the study if you are a parent or guardian of at least one child under 18 and you are over 18.
While all who meet the above criteria are invited to participate, Cara is especially interested in hearing from those who are Autistic, ADHD or AuDHD (both Autistic and ADHD). Formal diagnosis is not required, self-identification is also accepted. This is an international survey therefore individuals living in all countries may participate. All parents/guardians within one family unit may submit individual surveys.
The study is online, anonymous, and is expected to take 10-15 minutes.
First, you will be asked to read the information page, then provide consent should you decide to volunteer.
Next, you will be asked background questions.
Then, you will be asked questions from a number of surveys designed to measure stress and wellbeing and factors relating to stress and wellbeing.
Finally, when you submit your survey you will be directed to a debriefing page with support contact details and researcher contact details.
