Recruitment of Service Users
CORU (the regulator for Health and Social Care Professionals) are currently undertaking a review and update of the Framework for CORU’s Standard of Proficiency for all professions regulated by CORU. They are asking for your support to help identify service users and carers who would be willing to take part in a virtual focus group meeting and/or short survey.
The following link www.alphaprimarycare.com provides further information to people who may wish to take part in a focus group or survey, and allows them to register their interest.
CORU regulates the following professions:
- Dietitians
- Dispensing Opticians
- Medical Scientists
- Occupational Therapists
- Optometrists
- Physical Therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Radiographers
- Radiation Therapists
- Social Workers
- Speech and Language Therapists
And will regulate when their registers open:
- Clinical Biochemists
- Counsellors
- Orthoptists
- Podiatrists
- Psychologists
- Psychotherapists
- Social Care Workers
CORU are working with the healthcare consultancy company, Alpha Healthcare, who will be managing the focus groups on their behalf. Alpha Healthcare CEO, Dr Jack Nagle, will facilitate the discussions. They hope to issue invitations to the focus groups this month. Each person will be asked to give their consent to participate and all information will be treated in confidence.
