Self-Reporting OCD Symptoms in Autistic Adults.
Please read the below information regarding research that you may wish to participate in:
Tiana Caccetta is a PhD candidate and Westpac Future Leaders Scholar in the School of Psychological Science at The University of Western Australia (https://research-repository.uwa.edu.au/en/persons/tiana-caccetta/), supervised by Iliana Magiati, Lauren Taylor, and Ailsa Russell. Tiana’s research focuses on improving self-report screening measures for the co-occurring OCD symptoms of autistic adults.

You can participate in this study if you are
- Are 18 years old or older; AND
- Have a professional diagnosis of:
- Autism, OR
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), OR
- Both autism and OCD; AND
- Are not seriously ill right now, and are not currently receiving inpatient, hospital, or intensive care for their physical or mental health; AND
- Can speak English and can complete an online survey.
What is involved in participation?
• Answering a short set of screening questions, which will only take a few minutes. If the potential participant meets the study’s inclusion criteria, a member of the research team will then email them a link to the survey.
• Participation in the main survey includes completing a set of questionnaires online, asking about demographics (e.g., age, gender, etc.), some information about the participant’s autism and/or OCD diagnosis, OCD symptoms, their emotional well-being, and autistic traits.
• Participant responses will be anonymous, and it is anticipated that the main survey will take 20 to 40 minutes to complete.
