Family Functioning, Family Interaction with Professional Agencies and Well-being Outcomes for Autistic Children

Please read the below information regarding research that you may wish to participate in:

Psychologists at University College Cork are conducting a research study on family functioning, family interaction with professional agencies, and well-being outcomes for Autistic children. The survey will explore aspects of child and family functioning and experiences with school and healthcare agencies..

You can participate in this study if you are the parent or primary caregiver of an Autistic child who is

(1) aged between 5 to 12 years, and

(2) in mainstream first-level education (i.e. a mainstream primary school).

Should you choose to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete an online survey that will take around 20 minutes. This survey will explore aspects of child and family functioning and experiences with school and healthcare agencies. The researchers will then contact you about a year later to see how things have gone over that year for your child.

Participation in this study is voluntary and you can choose not to take part or to stop your involvement in this study at any time.
