Study Title:

‘Exploring Technology Use in Autistic Individuals with Learning Disabilities”

Please read below information regarding research that you may wish to participate in :

A team of researchers from the University of Surrey, the University of Oxford, the University of Edinburgh, Dublin City University and Autistica are conducting a research study exploring how autistic young people with learning disabilities use technology and how this might be associated with social skills and social vulnerability. The researchers are hoping to recruit parents/caregivers of autistic young people with learning disabilities aged between 13-18 years who will participate with their son/daughter.

The study can be completed entirely online. The study has two parts. Firstly, the parent/caregiver will be asked to complete an online questionnaire about their son/daughters technology use, their social skills and social vulnerability and then the parent/caregiver with their consent will be asked to assist their son/daughter in completing an online questionnaire (if appropriate) about their use of social media and technology. (A parent/caregiver can still participate in the research study even if their son/daughter does not wish to take part).
