T-Res Project
Please read the below information regarding research that you may wish to participate in:
Dr. Sinéad Smyth from DCU’s School of Psychology is conducting the T-Res Project.
The purpose of this research is to measure the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 situation on parents and children with Autism Spectrum Disorders with a view to informing resources to help with the transitions that will be experienced over the coming months, as restrictions related to COVID-19 are relaxed, schools and business reopen, and the activities we all engage in change.
This is the final part of the survey. From the earlier rounds of the study and an expert-led consensus process, they have created some resources to help navigate the pandemic which are available on their website; Autism-Toolkit.ie. Reports on the earlier rounds are available there also.
The researchers are now calling on parents of children with Autism to participate in the final phase of this project, which will help to track the longer term impacts of ongoing COVID-19 related restrictions, as well as changes in support needs. Based on the findings of this survey the researchers plan to continue developing shared transition resources to be utilised by families and educators to support children and young people.
The final round of the survey can be accessed through this link.
