Parents experiences of accessing appropriate education for young children with Autism.

Sinead O’Neill is a trainee Educational Psychologist in UCD, currently doing a research study for her doctorate.

Sinead is researching parents’ experiences of the educational provision for young children with Autism in Ireland. Sinead is hoping that parents can share their thoughts and experiences of their child’s education, including accessing education.

Sinead would like to find out what parents think of the current support system and what can be done to better support children, their parents and their schools, particularly in relation to education.

Who can take part:

To be eligible for this study you must meet the following criteria:

  • You are a parent of a child with Autism
  • Your child is due to start their first year of primary school in September 2021

What is involved:

  • You will be asked to meet with Sinead online for three interviews. The interviews will take between 30 – 60 minutes each.
