Research Study

An investigation of the relationship between child comorbid psychopathology and parental well-being.

Please read below information regarding research that you may wish to participate in;

Julia Lanyi is a final year Masters student in the National University of Ireland and is currently conducting a study in NUIG with the Irish Centre for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Research. The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between co-occurring mental health issues in children with autism spectrum disorder and their parent’s well-being.

Julia is interested in understanding the relationship between co-occurring emotional and behavioural problems in children with autism and their parent’s quality of life. She is recruiting parents with children with the diagnosis of autism and will collect information on topics such as your child’s behaviour and your own well-being, such as quality of life, mental health and sleep quality. Even if your child does not have any co-occurring emotional or behavioural problems, you are still invited to take part as your information can help to understand more about the well-being of parents with children with autism.

If you wish to participate in this study, you are asked to complete the following questionnaire online which should take approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Please click on the link for the questionnaire: http://bit.ly/2GCs2No

If you have any further questions or concerns about the study, you can contact Julia at l.julia1@nuigalway.ie
