Aoife Munroe is a postgraduate student in the Faculty of Education, currently undertaking a Master of Education at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick.
Her research study seeks to gain an insight into assistance dogs for children with Autism. Her project is layered in nature in order to look at assistance dogs through the lens of the provider, the parents/guardians of children who currently have/have had an assistance dog, the children themselves and principals/teachers who have experienced an autism assistance dog in the classroom.
To incorporate a range of experiences into her study, Aoife is currently seeking:
- Parents/Guardians of children with autism who currently have/have had an assistance dog or have experienced a failed or negative assistance dog placement
- Children who have an autism assistance dog.
