Investigating the effects of Autism on walking characteristics in young people

Deirdre Kindregan, a physiotherapist from Trinity College is conducting a research project investigating the effects of Autism on walking characteristics in young people. Deirdre hopes that her research will help identify and thus improve future treatment of walking difficulties in children with Autism.

National Registry for Autism and Related Neurodevelopmental Disorders

You are cordially invited to attend a public consultation meeting regarding the establishment of a national autism registry and bio bank.  All parents, self advocates and professionals involved in the ASD and related NDD community are invited to discuss the need and scope for a national registry to support research and the development of health, education and social policy for Autism Spectrum Disorders and related Neurodevelopmental Disorders.  We are also inviting views on the establishment of a bio bank to support bio medical research for treatment and interventions.

This initiative is a partnership between Trinity College Dublin, NUI Galway and Autism Speaks.

Claire Bowe, a student in the Dublin Business School is conducting a research project which explores practical issues of interest and relevance to the field of psychology. The issue Claire has chosen to research is “Predictors of stress in parents of children aged 4-18 years with Autism Spectrum Disorders”.
